Supporters will be chosen at your country Town Hall by means of a lucky draw before 31 October 2019.
Please contact your coach for more information on trying out for your country or regions team.
To make sure we all have a great and safe getaway, we have set out some guidelines that we’d ask you to please respect:
The majority of the people attending will arrive by plane into Cape Town International Airport.
Your flights will be arranged for you and coordinated by your HR Manager or coach.
If participants wish to extend their stay (for own account) this needs to be finalised before flights are booked.
Once flights have been booked, any changes will be for the country’s own account.
You will need a passport that is valid for at least six months after the date of travel. Make sure your passport expires after 6 October 2020
Transport will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to the hotel – look out for the DHL AFRICA CUP signs.
DHL Africa Cup HQ will organise busses to transfer you between the hotel, the tournament venue and the dinner venue.
The people attending from Cape Town may park at the hotel and take the transfers.
Your home for the weekend of Africa Cup will be at the Southern Sun Waterfront or the Cullinan in Cape Town, South Africa.
The rooms will have two beds and rooms are on a sharing basis. Once pairing has been done, regrettably, it cannot be changed.
Shower facilities will be available at the Tournament venue. If any hotel towels are taken to the tournament they must be returned to the hotel or you will be liable to pay for them. Please ensure you bring your own towels with you.
Packed breakfast will be available at the hotels each morning, which you will eat during the transfers to the fields.
Lunch prior to the tournament will be arranged by your HR Manager or coach.
Lunch during the tournament will be available at the sports fields. One lunch will be supplied, however, there will be a number of additional food options available throughout the day.
Dinner will be at Zip Zap Dome. Transfers will be available to take you to from the hotel after the tournament to the dinner venue.
There is a group dinner for everyone on Saturday and Sunday night followed by the After Party.
There is a limited food market within walking distance of the hotel.
The hotel has a bar, swimming pool and gym.
The Victoria & Albert (V&A) Waterfront is close to the hotel and houses over 450 shops and restaurants.
The hotel has a free shuttle to and from the V&A.
There are ATM’s close to the hotels, where you can withdraw ZAR with your Visa, MasterCard or Maestro Cards.
Any purchase at the hotel can be paid by credit card or cash (South African Rand / ZAR).
Africa Cup HQ can also arrange transport to and from the V&A Waterfront prior to the tournament.
Your coach will need to arrange this with Africa Cup HQ on [email protected].
Both the football and cheerleading competitions will be held at the Ajax Cape Town Soccer Grounds, a 20-minute drive from the hotel.
