The heat is on at the DHL 2019 Africa Cup

6 April 2019

Defending champions South Africa showed their pedigree by being the only team to emerge from the Group Stages of the 2019 DHL Africa Cup unbeaten.

In picture perfect conditions at the home of Ajax Cape Town Football, the 2019 DHL Africa Cup welcomed the continent where football was married with a colourful festive atmosphere that saw the popular cheerleading competition get into full swing with the fans.

The football, though, was highly competitive and all the 2019 DHL Africa Cup teams can hold their heads up high – and there is still some mouthwatering action to come on Sunday.

South Africa cruised through to the highly anticipated knockouts but tougher encounters await them as the likes of Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Mozambique and newcomers, DRC will be vying for top honours on Sunday.

The DRC were particularly impressive and their high-octane style might see them take on the best that the 2019 DHL Africa Cup has to offer.

All will be revealed tomorrow.
